SUCCESS STORIES
International nursing expertise at the Hallein Nursing Home

Around 45 dedicated nursing staff currently work at the Hallein retirement home, which is run by the Salzburg Red Cross. For many years, the home has been characterized by an appreciative coexistence of different nationalities—with a common goal: the best possible care and quality of life for the residents.
With the successful placement of two MediScout nursing professionals, Madhushan (28) from Sri Lanka in December 2024 and Kesiya (24) from India in February 2025, the team has recently become even more international. Both nursing professionals have a solid BSc education and completed language qualifications, and were able to integrate quickly and seamlessly into everyday nursing care.

“I am delighted to be part of this team.”
The experiences at SWH Hallein have been consistently positive. Nurse Madhushan describes his start in Hallein in very personal terms:

“Ms. Steiner and her team, but above all the residents, gave Kesiya and me a very warm welcome. I am delighted to be part of the Red Cross and to be able to work here in Hallein.”
He particularly appreciates the human aspect of his work:

“I love seeing people feel better again. I can contribute to this at the Hallein retirement home, where I work with very friendly and flexible colleagues.”

Madhushan feels right at home outside of work too—he has already explored Hallein and the surrounding area and finds his new home very livable.
“I felt well taken care of from day one.”
Kesiya, who started her job in February 2025, also looks back very positively on her journey to Austria—especially on the support she received from our recruitment agency:

“From the first interview to the completion of my nostrification, I felt very well looked after throughout. The MediScout team not only found me a job, but also supported me through every step of the process – professionally, organizationally, and also on a personal level.”

She particularly emphasizes the comprehensive service:
“It was reassuring for me to know that someone was always available. The service goes far beyond mere job placement. I felt truly welcome and well received—both professionally and personally.”
Our commitment: Care that lasts
These two success stories exemplify our mission:
We don't just place qualified nursing professionals—we support people. From the initial contact to language preparation, recognition procedures, and integration, and well beyond the start of employment. Because sustainable care begins with trust.

Nadeesha from Sri Lanka is writing another success story together with the Mattsee retirement home. Nadeesha from Sri Lanka joined the nursing team in Mattsee at the beginning of November 2025. With her sound nursing training, great motivation, and openness to new things, she quickly settled into her new job and environment.
For Nadeesha, her start in Austria is not only a professional new beginning, but also a personal one. She is particularly impressed by her new surroundings:
Care knows no boundaries at the Mattsee retirement home

“I saw snow for the first time here—it was a very special moment for me. The new environment and working in the retirement home are very exciting, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work here. MediScout has provided me with great support along the way.”

Nadeesha's successful integration once again highlights how international nursing professionals, with the right preparation and support, can be a lasting asset to care facilities and teams.
We ensure perfect matches between companies and employees. So in the end, both sides are happy. It's important to us that you focus on your business while we work hard to find your next talent.
